The Russian occupying forces managed to break through and gain a foothold in the village of Ocheretine in the Pokrovsky district of Donetsk region. However, the part of the settlement where the enemy is located is under fire control of Ukrainian troops. The fighting continues.
This was reported by the spokesman of the "Khortytsia" OSU, Lt. Col. Nazar Voloshyn, in a comment to "Interfax-Ukraine".
"Regarding Reed. The enemy broke through and gained a foothold in this settlement. The part in which the enemy is located is under our fire control. Measures are being taken to get him out of there. There are also heavy battles going on there, but the situation is under the control of the units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine," Voloshyn said.
The spokesman emphasized that Ukrainian forces are taking all measures to stabilize the situation in this area and return Ocheretiny to control.
"For this purpose, additional reserve forces and resources were introduced," Voloshyn said.
In general, as noted in the "Khortytsia" OSUV, the most difficult situation is currently in the Pokrovsky and Kurakhiv directions, fierce battles are ongoing.
Voloshyn reminded that the enemy has deployed up to four brigades of the armed forces of the Russian Federation in these directions and is trying to develop an offensive to the west of Avdiivka and Maryinka, wants to break through to Pokrovsk and Kurakhovo.
"In these directions, the enemy achieved certain tactical successes, but he was unable to gain an operational advantage. In order to strengthen the defense in these directions, to replace units that have suffered losses, we are moving brigades that have regained their combat capability," the spokesman said.
We will remind you that the other day, the Russians dropped an aerial bomb on the village of Ocheretyne in the Donetsk region - they hit a 5-story building, and the body of a 67-year-old woman was pulled out from under the rubble.
